Winter is rapidly approaching and sadly that does not mean cosy fires, fun and festivals for a massive number of homeless people, for them it means cold and hungry. Helen Abraham is driving a campaign to spread some warmth around this Christmas from those who need it.
We ate not asking form money but donations of the following items:
Sleeping Bags (not blankets)
Hats
Saves
Coats
Gloves
Non-perishable food
Shampoo and Conditioner
Shower gel
Soap/hand wash
Baby food
Nappies
Sanitary items
The North Shields Salvation army are collating and distributing everything donated to those who badly need it. It’s a chance to do a clear out of items you do not need but others might.
We look forward to taking recipe of your donations and items can be dropped into our reception or direct to the Salvation Army on Howard Street.
